Winnie The Pooh Birthday Party

Our toddler loves Tigger, Pooh, Piglet, and all the other friends of the Hundred Acre Woods. When it came time to plan her second birthday, she wanted a 'Pooh Party' and we had so much fun planning and throwing it!

Rainbow Dash Birthday Party

My daughter loves My Little Pony and all things rainbow colored, so for her 4th birthday we combined the two for a Rainbow Dash themed birthday party full of rainbow colors!

How to make a No-Sew Cheap Window Seat Pad!

How to Make a No-Sew Cheap Window Seat Pad!

In our playroom, under a pair of windows, we have a ledge built into the wall. As soon as we moved in, I envisioned it being a cozy reading spot with a cheerful cushion on it. I found a beautiful soft pink corduroy material with yellow dots and little green pears on it in the bargain section at the fabric store for less than $10, but as I started looking around at the cost of foam to make one I was shocked at how expensive it was! Rather than buy the size I needed from Michael's for over $50, I decided to DIY and use an inexpensive $13 foam egg crate type mattress pad from Target instead.

Laundry Room Clothespin Starburst Mirror

I love the look of the starburst mirrors all over the place right now, and decided to make my own for the laundry room! I used an apple red spray paint to cover a package of clothespins from the dollar store, bought a cheap round mirror from Michaels, and hot glued them around the outside! This was a quick, easy project that cost less than $10, took under an hour, and adds an awesome pop of color and fun to my laundry room wall!

Spray Painted Bird Statue

This ugly, rusty looking bird statue is something that I picked up off the Ross clearance rack last week for $2.99... ewww. I really loved the shape and personality of this little bird though and thought that, with a new coat of paint, it would look perfect in Sophie's nursery!

After a quick coat of pink spray paint... the birdy is transformed!

I think it's the perfect finishing touch to the shelf in her room! What do you think?!

Bar Stool Redo

After looking for 30 inch tall bar stools online, I was pretty sure I was going to have to spend around $20 a piece, even on Craigslist. Then I saw these light colored wood ones pop up... for $10!! And they still had the tags attached! Hubby picked them up on the way home from work and I immediately took out some Colonial Red Rustoleum spray paint I had in the garage from another project and gave them a quick coat. No sanding, no priming, just sprayed it right on... and 15 minutes later... I had some beautiful new red stools for my kitchen bar! I like to think of them as the lipstick of my kitchen- I love them!
