Rainbow Dash Birthday Party

My daughter loves My Little Pony and all things rainbow colored, so for her 4th birthday we combined the two for a Rainbow Dash themed birthday party full of rainbow colors!
We created the awesome rainbow backdrop by taping 4 strands of paper streamer (from the Dollar store) in a row of each color and covering the ends of the streamers with white clouds cut out of white paper and taped together. It was a perfect background for photos of the birthday girl with her guests and also added a fun wall of color behind the table of party favors that greeted guests as they walked in the door.

We wrapped the front pillars with different colored streamers...

And made a balloon rainbow over the back door.

The kitchen bar was full of rainbow themed treats! Rainbow colored plastic cups for fruit infused water, a tiered tray of fruit in rainbow colors (oranges, green grapes, pink watermelon, yellow pineapple, red strawberries, blackberries, etc), rainbow topped cupcakes, different colored licorice in a vase, and rice krispy cereal treats made of rainbow colored fruity pebbles.

A candy bar with candy buttons, M&M's, and cotton candy... all rainbow colored of course!

Rainbow Rice Krispy Treats... made with fruity pebbles!

Cupcakes topped with rainbow sour belts and a little Rainbow Dash pony hanging out at the top of the cupcake tower!

A coloring station for guests; My Little Pony coloring sheets and plenty of crayons...

A tree of hair bows we made for each guest to wear during the party with white rainbow printed ribbon, homemade curly ribbon, and colorful buttons.
 (Tutorial coming coon!)

Bags full of sidewalk chalk and topped with rainbow paper folded over- for guests to use in the backyard and then take home!

As a craft, we set out bowls of all different colored gummy candy rings and cereal, along with long colorful shoelace candy, and let the kids make their own candy necklaces! I was a fun activity that kept them busy for a while and they loved designing a pattern with the different colors before nibbling on it around their necks during the rest of the party.

Lots of rainbow colored fun was had by all!

  1. Good to know about this birthday party. Recently, I arranged my niece’s birthday party at one of the exquisite Venues in NYC. Decorated venue with amazing ornaments and lovely flowers. Had an excellent party and enjoyed a lot.
